Course Description

This pathway provides participants with an in-depth understanding of how to establish inclusion throughout the project lifecycle. Lessons encompass inclusivity in public sector objectives and private sector involvement. Participants will also learn how to apply qualitative and quantitative social equity criteria in line with relevant national or subnational policies, strategies, and regulations.

The Project Delivery Pathway (PDP) consists of the following four modules:

  • Module 1: Inclusive Infrastructure Framework
  • Module 5: Project Planning, Development and Delivery
  • Module 6: Private Sector Roles and Participation
  • Module 7: Affordability and Optimising Finance

Global Infrastructure Hub's Certificate in Inclusive Infrastructure Program is designed to provide each participant in both Public and Private sectors with practical and comprehensive knowledge on the topic of Inclusive Infrastructure.

The Global Infrastructure Hub's Certificate in Inclusive Infrastructure Program is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills to achieve social equity through infrastructure policy and projects. Developed in partnership with Toraza Zenith and Dr Ibrahim Odeh, it is the first online course dedicated to upskilling infrastructure professionals in inclusive infrastructure practices.

Objectives

Understand the Inclusive Infrastructure Framework, and the rationale for and methods of enhancing inclusivity throughout the infrastructure lifecycle, including through public-private sector partnership and collaboration. Learn to incorporate lesser understood aspects of inclusivity like economic inclusion and safety. Apply incentives to align with public inclusivity objectives, while encouraging private sector involvement, and learn to apply quantitative and qualitative social equity criteria that target inclusivity in business case preparation.

This course was developed and designed for professionals in government and the private sector, as well as international development agencies and non-profit organisations, who want to increase the social benefits created through infrastructure policy and delivery.
